The French-Czech Academy of Music in Telč was established in 1995 by the Cultural Department of French Embassy, the French Institute in Prague and the City Council of Telč. The organizer of the project is the not-for-profit organization Czech-French Academy of Music in Telč (Česko-francouská akademie Telč). The Academy of Music in Telč offers magisterial interpretation classes and chamber music courses for students of upper-level music-schools and academies from all over the world. Within ten days the students under the leadership of professors - renowned Czech and French musicians - can improve their playing the instrument (most 12 students in the class) and they will have available premises where they can practice all day. During their stay, the young musicians and their professors will have the opportunity to perform a series of concerts that are very popular among the Telč citizens and visitors. The Academy is under the patronage of French Ambassador in the Czech republic and under the patronage of President of Czech Senate. Next year´s Academy will take part in Telč from 1 to 11 July 2010.
